MeDiary – a new way of approaching your planning

If you’re one of those people who always forget/postpone or just can’t be bothered to buy a new diary at the beginning of the year and then. when you find yourself buying one later, you end up not using weeks (in the better scenario) or even months of the diary? As I’m looking at the statistics of my Etsy shop and see what people search for, I can still see a significant number of people searching and buying diaries 2017 and given it’s already mid May I wonder – does it not bother them that they won’t use almost half of it?

I’ve been thinking about this ‘problem’ for some time now and I’m coming with a solution. I developed a new product, new diary. I called it MeDiary, a wordplay of Me and Diary with a reference to the word mediary/mediator.

MeDiary is a rather minimalistic diary with nothing else but dates and plenty of space, but what makes it special is that you decide when it will start. In other words, you say when Your Year and so does Your Diary starts. You can choose your Birthday, Anniversary, your favourite holiday or any other good day as a starting day* of your MeDiary. I’ll then generate and print a unique one year diary starting in one year and ending with this date in the subsequent year and bind your MeDiary in the design of your choice.

All the other variables I offer with my normal standard year diaries remain the same, i.e. you can choose between Daily or Weekly version, in either A6 or A5 size, in English, Czech or Slovak language including English bank holidays for English version or name days for Czech and Slovak version.

More about diaries in my older blog.

Current choice of designs can be viewed in my Etsy shop.

*Following conditions apply to the choice or the starting day: Due to the nature of the diary design, the starting date MUST fall on Thursday (for Weekly version of MeDiary) or Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday or Sunday (for Daily version of MeDiary). If your desirable date does not fall on any other day then on those mentioned, I will use the nearest preceding day to your desirable date as the starting date of your diary. To sum it up simply, if I can’t make it on the exact day you chose, you’ll have a few extra days for free in your MeDiary 🙂

Jericho Street Fair

I’m almost ready for the Jericho Street Fair! This year I’m going to share a stall with my friend Sue, who makes beautiful handmade cards.

It’s taking place at Canal Street on Sat 11 Jun – 12.00 pm-4.00 pm

I’m bringing boxes and boxes full of notebooks and albums and Sue is making piles of cards for every occasion.  I really look forward to it and hope I’ll see lots of familiar faces there.
Here we are, busy making lots of paper flowers 🙂

How to design your own bespoke diary

It has already become a tradition that every autumn I design and make bespoke diaries for my customers.  And like every year you can choose several options and designs.
How can you design your own diary?
1) Decide on the type of diary
– weekly version (week on two pages)
– daily version (each day on separate page, weekends joint on one page)
2) Choose a type of font
    – ‘old-school’                                                  – ‘typewriter’

3) Choose format
A6 or A5
4) Choose language version
  • English (incl. UK bank holidays)
  • Czech (incl. name days and holidays)
  • Slovak (incl. name days and holidays)
5) Choose the type of binding
–  perfect binding  (hardback with covered spine)

Coptic binding (hardback with open spine and visible stitching)

– choose from dozens of designs or create your own with your own texts, pictures, etc.

You may also want to have a look at some of the finished diaries.

Have you decided? Have you got more questions?
Drop me an email to immaginacija@gmail.com and have your diary made asap 🙂

New start. Again.

After a year having my site on Wix where I wasn’t very happy with some of the features, I hope this yet another transfer of my site (after moving away from Google site before) and blog (even though I rarely keep it) will be hopefully the last.
I’d also like to gradually move my old blog posts, at least those which I somehow value for what they meant at that time, some purely for consistency. Well, nobody reads it here anyway, so good luck to me 🙂
